Story

Milly has been diagnosed with IVDD and has gone downhill quickly, falling over as her right front leg isnt working properly since and after vet visit she's probably got a slipped disc that's trapped her nerves and needs an urgent MRI and Corrective Disc Surgery, so waiting for a phonecall from Wear Referrals tomorrow! As you can see shes managing with just a padded harness with me there to support her when she stumbles.

Wear Referrals charge £2500 for her MRI then another £6000 to operate, she is insured but just found out it's only £500 per condition so unfortunately surgery is not an option for us as we need to find about £8000 ! Anyone need a kidney or an eye ? I'd give up any part of me to get my princess her disc corrective surgery!

I am setting up a Crowdfunding page to try and raise the money for her MRI (£2500) & back surgery (£6000)! so she doesn't have to suffer longer than absolutely necessary, anything you can give will help her tremendously- Thank you 🐾

PUPDATE:

Went elsewhere for a second opinion and vet has put mills on complete crate rest and Metacam, and thinks that because it's her front legs and that she's still walking on front legs albeit falling over, she has a good chance of recovery as we just can't pay for mri's and surgery. Next appt Monday. I'll keep posting x x thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers it really means a lot x x

Milly started to pick up through the week but unfortunately has taken a turn for the worse and her front legs are nearly useless and I've noticed her back legs starting to wobble but am hoping it's her compensating for her front legs that's knocking her off balance. Back to vets Monday so fingers crossed X

PUPDATE: Monday:

So it's a week later and we've been back to the vets where it was obvious Millys having trouble with her back legs now too. She's been given Tramadol in the afternoon to supplement the Metacam she's on in the mornings.

We received the pet stroller that was kindly lent to us by Dachshunds IVDD uk, so at least we can get her (and me) out of the house a bit more.

Thank you so much and Milly thanks you for your kindness .

PUPDATE:. Wednesday:

Millys in a bad way and she needs this operation as I can't bare to see my little girl flat on the floor with no use of any legs and she's in pain (although that's being managed) and still on crate rest.

Thats my baby girl today she cant stand sit or move about on her own. Im devastated at how quickly downhill shes gone and it breaks my heart seeing her like this .
