I've raised £1200 to cover the initial costs of a fundraising concert in aid of Inspire Wellbeing NI

1 in 5 of the adult population in Northern Ireland suffer from poor mental health. To make matters worse, there is still to this day an enormous stigma surrounding all things mental illness-related. After losing a friend to suicide last year, I have decided to host and direct a concert in aid of Inspire Wellbeing NI. This charity do phenomenal work throughout the community, from student support to helping those that are suffering in the workplace.
This concert will feature the most talented young people in the greater Belfast area and focus on a theme of hope for the future. There will be songs featured from the musicals as well as modern pop songs, with a focus on mental health-related issues.
However, getting a show of this size on the road comes with a cost, and a student loan doesn't exactly leave me with a lot of disposable income. To cover musicians, programmes and set-pieces I must fundraise £1200 in advance of the concert.
It's time we joined the fight against mental health and gave those suffering a voice. Everyone deserves to be heard, and everyone deserves to be helped.
Thank you for any help you can offer towards funding this event. If you should choose to help get this show off the ground, you will receive a ticket to the concert free of charge and will be credited in the programme with a photograph if you would like to be.
