We are CME Events, a group of 5 2nd year Manchester Metropolitan University Events Management students hosting MINDMIX, a live DJ stream event as part of our university project.

We are hosting MINDMIX in aid of mental health charity, TOG Mind (Tameside, Oldham & Glossop); We hope to support Mind in achieving their vision of enabling everyone in their local communities to achieve better mental health, as well as raising as much money as possible to assist TOG Mind in achieving their overall mission - ‘to continue to provide the best quality local mental health services in prevention, early intervention and primary care; alongside empowering individuals and our communities to live well’.

Currently, mental health is very much in the spotlight, more so now than ever before. The massive impact of poor mental health is increasingly recognised with the majority of funding being spent on the minority in acute care. This is very costly and impacts on individuals, their wider family and social networks.

On average, three quarters of people in the UK with mental health problems receive no support due to lack of funding, sadly resulting in 1 death by suicide every 2 hours and at least ten times that number attempted, all due to mental health issues. With the help of your donations, TOG Mind can continue to carry on their amazing work in preventing this and the need for people to access acute services by providing early intervention, prevention, resilience and asset-based building. This means your donations can allow extra resources for communities to be able to speak to someone about their mental health before it's too late.
