Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
We're raising £1000 for The Grey Dog Trust who are organising a festival in Northampton on Saturday 25th August 2018 with the aim of putting adolescent mental health centre stage. The Grey Dog Festival aims to create a conversation about mental health amongst young people. To bring the subject out of the shadows, challenge the stigma attached to it, so that the barriers to seeking support are removed.
I run an event called Mind Over Matter where we discuss mental health through Spoken Word Poetry and Hip Hop to widen the conversation. The Grey Dog organisers have kindly given us a stage at the festival so we are raising money to cover costs and join them in putting young peoples mental health centre stage.
The line up as announced so far is at: https://www.thegreydog.org
You can find out more about Mind Over Matter and what we do at the below links:
Many thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully see you at the festival!
