    Story

We were founded in April 2019 as a peer to peer, self-help, support group for mental health in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. We are two women with lived experience who have set up a website www.mindspacemk.com and social media @mindspacemk and @mindspacemiltonkeynes (on FB) to give advice, tips and services to people living with mental health challenges in the community. We run a four weekly group at Unity Park Station in CMK on Mondays at 7pm which invites mental health professionals, sufferers and advocates to speak on mental health as well as for attendees to have a space platform to talk about their experiences. We provide materials for expressive arts and creative writing exercises and design our own flyers for distribution. The resources and worksheets we create are available for download on our website. Everybody who attends is able to get free tea or coffee throughout the session. With all good things come costs. Now we are fundraising to keep money in our pot for this all to continue as so far it has come out of our, the founders, pockets which are starting to run dry. We are reaching out to the community to raise £500 for printing ink, paper, art resources and drink costs. Thank you for your support.

    **UPDATE**

We have since decided to expand and now, thanks to a grant offered by Mind Allies and your support, we are launching a second mental health peer support group in Greater Manchester (Bredbury, Stockport) coming February 2020.
