Weʼre raising £10,000 to help keep the Minidonks on the road
- Norfolk, UK
Don't have time to donate right now?
We are a small social enterprise that take our Miniature Donkeys to visit people with life limiting conditions, special needs and mental health challenges. Every year we deliver hundreds of visits across Norfolk and Suffolk to settings such as care homes, psychiatric units, special schools and dementia settings.
The joy that our little donkeys bring is worth more than words can say. One nurse at a care home said, "I have never heard that lady laugh, and she has been smiling and laughing with your donkeys for 5 minutes now.
We rekindle memories, stimulate touch and forge friendships on every visit. We are not yet fully financially sustainable and our costs outstrip our income by between £10 and £15,000 every year. Any donations will go directly to keeping our Social Enterprise operational, and help us to continue to to deliver, "Donkey visits that mean so much to our residents. Every time we ask them what activities they would like they always say that they want the Minidonks back again."
