What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Story

We take our gentle and friendly miniature donkeys into care homes, dementia units, autism groups etc to provide people with the opportunity to see, touch, and talk to these amazing animals. Our feedback says, "Priceless watching smiles and hearing the memories... I never thought I would have a donkey in my bedroom!" All funds raised will go directly to providing more donkey visits to people who need them. We have now raised enough money to buy our very own lorry - thank you all for helping us get this far. We still need your support to help us close the gap between our running costs and the fees we charge. It is very important that we can carry on providing visits at a cost that is affordable to the places we visit. Thank you.

We have just passed £7,000 in our fundraising campaign. We have achieved some amazing things with your help. We have our lorry which is making life so much easier, and travelling so much more enjoyable for the Minidonks. But our operating costs still exceed our income, so we still need your help. Every donation makes a huge difference and gives us all a real boost to know that there are people out there who really care and who "get" what we are doing. Thank you all.

Well, we have achieved a huge milestone, thanks to you all. We took delivery of our new lorry this week and have done our first two visits with it. We could not have done it without the support and encouragement that you have all given us through your kind words and donations. We are still fundraising to bridge the gap between our running costs and our income, so your support is still very much appreciated. Thank you.

My father has vascular dementia. Any interaction with animals is such an excellent tonic for people who are slipping away from us so slowly and cruelly. Thank you for your work

I lost my mum to dementia in April 2017. The day after her funeral I handed my notice in and set about creating Miniature Donkeys for Wellbeing. My dad also has dementia (vascular and Alzheimer's) and lives in a nursing home near to me. 210 visits on and Minidonks is thriving.
