Story
School House and Galpins are undertaking a 12 hour, 7-a-side football match this Sunday, in a hope to settle our long standing rivalry.
We are raisong money for the ARRCC charity, or Touchbase Care as it is now known. Here is a bit about what they do:
A community group where people with physical disabilities, mild learning difficulties, neurodiversity and sensory impairment are supported in arts, education, access to work, recreation, health and well being. Their goal is to bring people, who may suffer from isolation, together in a supportive setting. To encourage and support members with achieving personal goals. To use arts and creativity in a therapeutic setting and to support clients in accessing events and places of interest in the wider community. They work to increase opportunities for employment, work experience or voluntary opportunities. To raise disability awareness and promote disabled people’s rights.
This is a local Kent-based charity, and relies on donations for 40% of its activities, so any money raised would be put to great use.
The football match is taking place at the Rec Centre on Sunday, 1st of July from 7AM - 7PM, so please come along to support!
Hope to see you all there,
SH & GL
