I've raised £1000 to Fundraise for The Think Pacific Foundation, working towards ensuring no child is deprived of an education in Fiji!

Hi everyone!
On June 2nd I will be traveling to Fiji to take part in a volunteering scheme with Think Pacific. I will be living with a Fijian family in the local community for just under four weeks, during which I will be teaching English and extracurricular activities such as dance, art, and sport to children in a rural Fijian school. These projects are making an immense difference to the lives of children living in hardship.
I am raising money to cover the 30% of my project fee that goes directly to the TP charity in addition to anything else that I can fundraise for them! The money will go directly to assist the community and Think Pacific charity, funding:
Local schools/ kindi
School resources -pencils, exercise books, teaching resources/teacher training/ provide local scholarships/ grants.
Assist with implementing UNICEF just Play Programme, Conducting WASH Surveys in rural areas (Water Sanitation & Hygiene), Health advocacy.
Medical provision to outer island clinics and ongoing Cyclone Relief (Food, clothing, distributing donations)
Our mission going out to Fiji is to empower disadvantaged children to overcome poverty issues and achieve holistic health. This is achieved by improving education, sports development, infrastructure assistance and health promotion.
In partnership with the Fijian Ministry of Education, we will be working to implement education, health/ sports development initiatives.
Over a third of children living in Fiji grow up in poverty, living on less than one dollar a day. Only 50% of children have access to adequate sanitation and fresh water and just 5% of children gain an early years education. The TP charity & projects aim to provide increased opportunities for children by replenishing school resources, providing teacher training, increase standards in educations, extracurricular activities and sports.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page! Any support you can give is greatly appreciated, Vinaka!
