I have been unwell since 2011. In 2016 i received a diagnosis of Morgellons Disease which is a chronic form of Lymes Disease. Theres no cure but im on treatment. Unfortunatley NHS Lymes Disease tests are basic and do not detect certain pathogens resulting in a negative result like mine did. Until i get an accurate test only available privately. I am unable to claim what im entitled to from the benefits system. Im unable to work due to my ill health and struggle constantly for money for day to day living. Which is highly unfair when i have a genuine life altering illness. I have copied an email from the clinic with the lay out of the cost involved below.

Dear Miranda

Thank you for your email and enquiry. Initially you would be required to attend our clinic in person to see one of our doctors for a new patient consultation which would last 90 minutes and include a physical examination, This would cost £220. After the consultation the doctor would decide which tests to do for you and this could cost about £1500. We do many different tests for lyme and the doctor would chose the blood test which could include co infections. It takes 3-4 weeks for the results to come back and you would then have a follow up consultation at a cost of £110.

If any treatments are required this would be discussed in the consultation and we would then produce an estimate of the costs of this.
