Story
My son Isaac is seven years old. He has non verbal severe autism, Neurofibromatosis type 1, learning difficulties and is visually impaired. His right eye has microphthalmia and his left eye has an optic glioma which is a type of brain tumour.
Due to these conditions Isaac has times of real frustration and meltdown and would benefit enormously from a space of his own.
He has significant sensory needs which make an sensory room a real place of refuge and haven for him which would in turn help the entire family to be more relaxed and fun.
Isaac's twin sister also has autism and a sensory room would allow both children to play together in a safe and stimulating environment.
Isaac may need chemotherapy so the room would also be a place for him to chill out after intense treatment.
Please help us help our son.
We really appreciate it.
