I've raised £555 to West Cornwall Women's aid

The story behind my journey: A woman's journey
I have been wanting to be in and to "feel" the Himalayas mountains for the last 6 years. I was due to go with a group to Nepal, two and a half years ago. However, due to ill health, I had to cancel and forget about the whole journey for a while. Now, two and half years later, I feel ready to fulfil one of my dreams, and wanted others to share in my good fortune.
The trek will take me to the Upper Mustang area in Nepal, and it will be a two week long trek. I cannot honestly say how challenging it is going to be for me or not, as a main reason to try and raise money for my chosen charity. However, I feel that it will be challenging in some aspects, coming out of my comfort zone, doing something I have never done before - and definitely not at my age! - and the physical aspect of the trek in itself. This whole journey is very much about a woman's journey, women's journeys and womanhood, as many aspects of my journey are relating to women as a whole. I was compelled to choose a Nepalese women tour operator, who reinvest the money to empower and educate women in Nepal, and use women guides on their treks. Upon my arrival, the largest festival for women in Nepal called Teej will be celebrated throughout the country. The illness which prevented me going to Nepal two years ago, was related to my womanhood... So, as a result, with my journey, I would like to help women, and especially women living in my community. Therefore, I have chosen the "West Cornwall Women's Aid" charity which provide support, help and refuge to women who have suffered or are suffering from domestic abuse (https://www.wcwaid.co.uk ).
I am nearly done with my story... So if you feel you would like to help me raise some money for women through my journey I would be grateful... As Lao Tzu said "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step..." I am hoping that by following my dream and embarking on my journey, I will help other women to make their dreams become a reality, and for women in abusive relationships to know that feeling free and becoming whole again is within their reach. Thank you for your loving understanding 🙏
