The ongoing trauma that people suffer fleeing war torn countries and oppressive political regimes must be one of the most awful situations any human being could endure. Often being forced to leave friends and family behind to travel across the world without any legal documentation or means of communication.

Refuweegee are doing an amazing job welcoming and caring for people arriving in Glasgow. They do everything from supplying heartwarming welcome letters from locals to essentials like food and smart phones so people can try and make communication via wifi calls with loved ones back home in countries that often don't have a stable phone line infratructure. Recently we've been made aware of the difficult conditions our new friends are facing on arrival at this time, with often whole families being asked to stay in one room with no form of outward communication or idea of what's going on or how long they'll be there.
