Story

Mission 500 is all about raising awareness, with Italians, French and British, of bird poaching and hunting methods in Europe. Using a classic fiat 500 as a mascot to draw attention along the way. We are an all female team, from all corners of the UK.

We will be visiting poaching hot spots in Northern Italy doing both covert and overt work, working with CABS and also Italian organisations. The Species that are targeted, the numbers killed and the methods used are unfathomable.

In Northern France we will be visiting two areas, one of which is where champagne is produced. Both areas use barbaric trapping methods which are actually legal in France. Here we will be collecting valuable evidence to pass on to CABS for them to use for pressuring policy makers.

Lastly, on English soil we will make one final pit stop. Destination to be determined by the H.I.T. squad.

We will be using Facebook Live, sharing the daily experiences and emotions with our followers. Each of the team is working at getting local press coverage, and we have a few Italian publications interested in covering our story.

We will continue to raise awareness as we stop off along our route, covering the 500 in bunting, leafleting and engaging with folk.

All donations raised before the trip and during will go to CABS.
