Story

In 1967, my hero, Dian Fossey set up two little tents deep in the rainforests of Rwanda, high up in the mountains. Alone, she created a research centre 3000 metres up in the slopes, and studied gorillas for many many years. Eventually, moving on from scientific study, she moved to stopping poachers kill and helped to conserve the lives of the gorillas she lived closely with.

In 1985, Dian was murdered in her research centre in Rwanda, by poachers who wanted to stop her vital work from progressing.

Her story, was far more complex than life and death, she revolutionised the way the world now researches and funds vital conservation work for species that face exstiction.

I want to travel across Africa to different sanctuaries and spend time after my graduate studies, helping to conserve species that need our help.

I might be starting small, but I want to follow my dream and follow in the foot steps of my hero and do anything and everything I can to help the world.

Please, take a step towards the future, believe in the dream and help me succeed. Thank you.
