Story
I lost my Nana when she was 80 years old to Alzheimer’s disease. She was a beautiful woman who quietly taught me compassion, especially for our four legged companions. Every month, she gave to dog welfare charities. It became part of who I am.
When she passed away, just a week before we travelled to India for our biggest project yet, I felt an undeniable call to turn that pain into purpose. So this August, I’ll run 80 miles in under 24 hours. One mile for every year she lived, to honour her legacy and raise urgent funds for India’s suffering street dogs.
Many of these dogs live abused, starved, neglected and voiceless. And one thing about my Nana, she never looked away from suffering. Neither will I. This run is for her. This run is for them.
If you’ve ever lost someone you love… if you’ve ever seen suffering in the eyes of an animal… or if you simply care about doing something that matters, this is for you too.
Your support will help save lives, relieve suffering, and create a more compassionate future for these voiceless souls.
Thank you for standing with me. Thank you for standing with them.
Together, we can be the change.
