I'm raising £30000 to remember our grandparents

Story

Our grandparents made us the men we are today. Yet they are no longer here for us to thank them. Cancer and dementia have torn our families apart — but we are not going to sit by and accept that. We won’t let them be forgotten.

We will be boating two of the world’s most unforgiving ultra marathons: the Devizes to Westminster and the Yukon 1000. Together, we are embarking on the toughest challenge of our lives covering 1,125 miles— becoming the youngest crew ever to attempt both.

Bears, hypothermia, and crippling exhaustion stand in our way — yet even this challenge feels unworthy of the cause. Nothing ever truly could be.

So please join us as we set off to honour our grandparents and raise money for Race Against Dementia and Sue Ryder. With your support, we hope to ensure that fewer families have to endure the pain and struggle that ours has.

See you on the water,

Watkins and Smee
