Story
We are delighted to be involved in supporting Magherafelt Sky Blues Football Club 'Charlie Conway Memorial Cup', a fundraising tournament in memory of Charles Conway, former player and late brother of MKB Director Maria Conway.
The tournament, for teams with players over 35, takes place in May and will raise funds for two excellent charities; ALPS (All Lives are Precious, a community-based mental health initiative) and Air Ambulance Northern Ireland.
The Club comments: “This tournament has been specifically designed for veterans and is the first of its kind in Mid-Ulster. The veteran teams in the area are expanding, and proving to be extremely positive for the socialisation and mental health of older players.”
