My brother in law will be 70 in July. For 25 years he has suffered excruciating pain from rheumatoid arthritis and over the last 5 years has found walking very difficult. He has become a virtual prisoner in his house. Unfortunately the income he and his wife receive does not allow money for a mobility scooter and social services and so-called disability charities claim they ars unable to help due to cuts in funding. As I am myself disabled and on a low income, I am unable to help. My brother in law is desperate to escape his 4 walled prison and his 70th birthday would be the best ever if he could secure a mobility scooter.
