Story
InShaAllah (God Willing), the annual Great Harwood Community Iftar will take place on Saturday, 22nd March, at 4 PM at Towngate.
This year, we will be raising money for the Laurie Solomon Renal Centre in Blackburn, which provides high-quality, life-enhancing renal care for patients across Lancashire. Our Iftar will be held in loving memory of Late Mohammed Amin (father of Farqan Amin and Zeshan Amin), a well respected member of the Great Harwood community whom we sadly lost on 11th December 2024.
Late Mohammed Amin always spoke so highly of the Laurie Solomon Renal Centre—of its outstanding facility, dedicated staff, the exceptional care he and others received. It is only fitting that we honour Late Mohammed Amin’s memory by supporting a cause so close to his heart.
This event is a chance for us to come together once again—to break fast, share food, and strengthen the bonds we’ve built over the years. As always, there will be plenty of food, drinks, and desserts, along with some exciting new stalls this year.
