    Story

For 3 weeks starting Monday 31st October, I will be going sugar-free, and it will be right when my birthday will be. This will mean no cakes, no sweets, no biscuits, no soda, but most importantly for me, no juice. I will be going sugar free because I am looking to raise money to buy at least 10 semi-professional volleyballs that the teens from Stella's Voice can use to teach volleyball to other children. I am looking to support them in their venture to use sports to change their communities and make a difference.

Stella's Voice is an anti-trafficking charity that runs in Moldova. Moldova is a hot spot for human trafficking and Stella's Voice is working to combat this by preventing and protecting boys and girls from being victims of it. As a result, Stella's Voice rescues children from state-run facilities and homes them, educates them and essentially raises them up in a loving environment, empowering them to look forward to an incredible future but to also give back to the local communities.

Sports has been big to the kids at Stella’s Voice. From being a fun way to build great relationships to others now being professional in sports such as indoor football. Having been to Moldova twice now and having met most of the kids, I have seen first hand the difference sports is making to them.

Volleyball is a sport that a lot of the kids have come to love and become exceptionally good at. As a result, a number of them have decided to join and train other kids from the villages, schools and orphanages around.

This is a beautiful way of them giving back to their communities and going beyond that by changing the lives of others just as theirs have been changed. Now, good sport equipment is hard to come by in Moldova. And if you do find them, they are usually very expensive. This is where I hope to help and I hope that you would love to get involved too.

So the sugar free month is well and truly over and so happy to have raised £280!!!! Volleyballs are all packaged and shipping soon to Moldova. Thank you to all who encouraged me and supported me with donations. You've changed the lives of young kids in such an awesome way and have encouraged some incrediblly amazing youth to keep making a difference. So many donations were anonymous and so though I may not know if you did donate, I truly appreciate all you've done.
