Story

We've been inspired by amazing stories of how speedy access to a defibrillator has saved someone's life. Seconds really do count. However, our rural location means it's unlikely one could be brought here fast enough to help somebody needing it.

That's where you come in!

Our goal is to raise enough money to fit a public access defibrillator (PAD) at Mollett's Farm in Suffolk. Over 1,000 guests stay here every year - either in our self-catering accommodation or on our CAMC touring site. Any one of them might find themselves needing medical help.

The £2,000 target will fund the automated external defibrillator (AED) itself, plus a protective carrying case, a secure heated cabinet, professional installation and running costs for the first year. Once fitted, it will be available for anybody to use - guests, the general public, the emergency services - and requires no specific training to put into action. Access will be obtained by dialling 999.

Supporting us is easy

We're encouraging all those that stay with us to contribute - from as little as £1 a night - as well as others wishing to support our cause! It's easy to become involved: add a donation whilst booking accommodation; ask us to add a donation to your existing reservation; send or give us your contribution in person; or donate via this JustGiving page.

Every pound donated will get us a step closer to realising our dream.

Fund-raising formally kicked-off on 29th December 2017 and we'll send out regular progress updates on our Twitter and Facebook feeds to keep you up-to-date.

All funds raised will be used by Mollett's Partnership towards the cost of providing an AED/PAD at Mollett's Farm (minus the 6.5% retained by Just Giving and the card processing companies to provide their services). Direct donations to us will also be more than welcome! Any surplus funds will be donated to British Red Cross.
