I've raised £1700 to help fund my Ghana volunteering expedition where I will be providing educational support for children in a small community in need.

My name is Molly Van Meter and I am in Year 10 (9th grade) at Cirencester Deer Park School.
Next spring (April 2019) I will be travelling to Ghana with 18 of my peers on a volunteering expedition. The aim of the trip is to help provide educational support for a small community in Ghana. I personally will be teaching at the village school whilst some of my friends will be helping to improve facilities within the school.
Part of the whole experience is planning and fundraising for the trip. As a group, we are raising money through sponsorship for a Guinness World Record, by bag packing at local supermarkets, by hosting bake sales and quiz nights, and more. I also need to raise money on my own and I plan to do this by baby-sitting, hosting a tea party fundraising event, and my own bake sale.
Not only will I gain valuable life experience, I will also engage positively in teamwork planning and preparing for my trip, learn new social skills and raise the funds necessary to support my trip. If you would like to learn more information about my school and this expedition here is a link:

If you would like to donate it will be much appreciated and I will gladly keep you informed about how my fundraising is going and how my trip turns out.
Thank you very much!
