Story

Hi my name is Molly and I am 7 years old. In January I decided I wanted to grow my hair to donate to the princess trust but after a tough year, I wanted to see if I could help some other charities close to my heart by raising £100 for each.

The first charity is the Macmillan Cancer Unit in Derby which helped look after my Mummy's close friend during her short battle with cancer. They do an amazing job to help look after people and their families during the darkest of times.
The second charity is DDFC (Derby Diabetic Fun Club). In April I was diagnosed as a type 1 diabetic this group gives me and my family a chance to meet other people in the same situation once a month in various locations for support, guidance, relief and most of all fun. This group has shown me I am not alone and that diabetes does not control my life but is now just part of it.

I hope with your generosity that 2 different charities we will have a little something to help other people in their time of need. I plan to have my hair cut off on the 5th of November into a short bob. At our last measure I will be donating about 14.5 inches of hair.
