Hi my name is Monica and I work for Mencap Cymru as the Area Manager for Ceredigion. I've had the honour of managing the Bryn Siriol Respite House in Aberystwyth for 13 years and I have loved working with such a wide range of people.

Respite is a really important support we can offer to people with a learning disability and their family carers and as part of our respite service in Ceredigion, we have been lucky to be able to provide a sensory room to support communication, mental health and skill development.

Sadly, our old sensory room is over 10 years old now and has come to the end if its life so we need to replace it as a matter of urgency to continue to offer this support to people with a learning disability and autism in Ceredigion.

I hope you will be able to support us as we create this new resource in Aberystwyth.
