Thomas Mitchell will RIDE !

88-year-old Thomas aims to cycle 1000 miles on his electric bike, to raise money for his fellow residents at the Wisma Mulia care home, in Frampton on Severn, Gloucestershire. He's doing it in stints of 18 miles daily, aiming to reach his target of £1000 in time for Wisma Mulia's 50th anniversary in July. All the money raised will go to providing comforts and amenities for elderly folk at the home, for things like outings, art materials, or replacing someone's broken TV. All things that make a big difference to people living far from their families, and not able to get about much without help. Thomas is still quite active (see photos), able to get out and about on his own. For others at the home, going out to a nice place for the day in the minivan, or doing arts & crafts with their friends, can make a big difference in their lives, and really brighten up their day.
