A family I have know for over 20 years is going through very hard times. They are people whose hearts have been broken by loss. It’s really sad watching them struggle.....
So I desperately want to raise some money for them to help with their funeral costs.
She was a Mother of two, grandmother of four, and a beloved wife. All her life she put others before herself. She died at the age of 61, yes, she was just 61. .
Seven years ago her husband survived lung embolism after lying in a coma for a month... they brought him back. The family thought it was a miracle... sadly he couldn't return to work and remained on medication for the rest of his life. Living in London in a tiny room was all that they could afford but they were delighted to be given a second chance. She worked hard to be able to afford life for both of them.
A week ago she ended up in hospital with bad condition of pancreas and liquid in her lungs, barely breathing... her condition was critical. Almost straight away doctors put her in coma. After that it was only worse with every day. Her organs started switching off one by one. After a few days the family heard there was no hope and they had to let her go and unplug the machines that were keeping her alive.She kept fighting for another 2 hours until she lost that battle.
Funeral costs are over £3,000 ,
the family have no savings to turn to and She had no life insurance. She died in London where they lived, now her daughter has taken her Dad to the Isle of Wight to live with her and take care of him. But she is a single mother of four, working full time, looking after her kids and now her heart-broken Dad. As he never claimed any benefits he's not eligible for help with funeral expenses and he's the only one who can make the claim.
Please help me to help this family to say a proper farewell to their wife, mother and nan of four fantastic grandchildren. Anything you can contribute will be a fitting tribute to a life of hard work, love and sacrifice.
