Story
This is the last photo I have of my son, before he became ill - December 2017! Jacob was diagnosed with a brain tumour on 5th January 2018. He‘s since had brain surgery to remove the tumour, 6 weeks of daily radiotherapy, countless scans, tests, needles and last week started the first of 8 rounds of chemotherapy. We are devastated and trying to keep things afloat, along with trying to also be there for Jacobs younger brother and sister. Jacob is in year 6 and is missing his last year of primary school and all the fun that entails. He will also have to transition to secondary school during treatment. We want to provide him with a safe haven away from all things medical and to just been an 11 year old boy. He loves The Dengineers programme on CBBC and has always wanted his own den. Therefore we though we would do our own version of Dengineers. Due to both of us being self-employed and me not really to work much (so no income) due to looking after Jacob we do not have the funds to do all of this. Hence this page. I will be organising many events to raise money, friends are helping. I am also running a marathon to raise vital funds for research into pediatric brain tumours, which has one of the lowest research funds and progress with treatment and cure!!! Please help us to enable Jacob to be the 11 year old boy he deserves to be. x
