Hi everyone! For those who don't know me, I'm Rhona and in August I volunteered in South Africa at a monkey sanctuary. It was probably the best experience of my life!
The Vervet Monkey Foundation houses and cares for over 600 vervet monkeys taken in by the sanctuary to the abused , orphaned, injured, ex-laboratory and unwanted pet monkeys.
The VMF are needing our help to purchase land of up to 500 hectares to be kept as protected land for the monkeys and also for indigenous animals. This land would be a perfect area for these intelligent monkeys to be released back to where they belong in the wild.
This sanctuary really deserves gratitude for all their work over the years and I'm really excited about going back again in May.
