I'm raising £7000 to fund the making of More Than A Mountain film

Led by Jo Bradshaw, a woman who transformed her life from self-doubt to Seven Summiteer, this powerful documentary follows 15 women of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds as they take on the emotional and physical challenge of summiting 5550m mountain Yala Peak in Nepal. Their journey is a living tribute to Junko Tabei who, in 1975, became the first woman to climb Everest. A name too few know, despite the path she carved and the legacy she left.
Junko Tabei wasn’t just the first woman to summit Everest, she was an advocate for making the mountains accessible to all. She believed the outdoors is a space for everyone, not just the elite or privileged. After her historic climb, she founded the 'Ladies Climbing Club Japan’, worked passionately with children and schools leading environmental education initiatives and used crowdfunding to support inclusive expeditions dedicating herself to opening doors for others.
By supporting 'More Than a Mountain', you are helping to carry on Junko’s legacy, not only by telling her story, but by championing the same values she lived by: access, representation, and opportunity for all.
The Yala Peak expedition was supported and organised by Adventurous Ewe, an adventure travel company committed to sustainable and responsible travel.
The expedition has been captured. Now we need your support to complete it, to fund editing, interviews, and post-production — and help bring the powerful stories of these 15 women and the memory of Junko Tabei to life. The documentary is to be submitted to film festivals around the world. Watch this space for updates!
Donate today to help us complete this documentary that isn’t just about reaching a summit, it's about belief, community, and rediscovering the strength to rise beyond self-doubt.
What's in it for you? Not only are you helping to create a once in a lifetime documentary film, your name, or company name will also be shown in the film credits, as well as having that warm fuzzy feeling that you are supporting anyone who sees the film and says 'if they did, so can I!'
What a legacy that will be!
Whilst the film budget is £10,000, we have had a big boost already and express a huge thanks to York St John University and a private donor for kicking off our funding by £3000.
