I've raised £200 to Help fund composing time

Young composers need time to experiment, and time is money. The sorts of commissions young composers are offered do not pay well-enough to live off and so, many find themselves having to take on other work which – of course – reduces the amount of time they have to spend writing music. When commissions do come in, it is tempting to fall back on things that you know work, and consequently it is only those with time on their hands who can truly afford to experiment. Your donation will go towards enabling me to spend more time working on the things that matter to me, rather than the things that pay. In the near future, that means collaborations with certain soloists who have expressed an interest in working with me.
