Karen, Andy, Max and Jacob last week travelled to Disneyland Paris. After only half a day in the park little Jacob became ill and was taken to hospital where he spent Thursday - Sunday in intensive care. He is now out of intensive care but still too poorly to travel home. When he can get home he will be going straight to the Maelor for further treatment. Max their eldest son is now back home with his grandparents whilst Andy and Karen are at Jacobs bedside in Paris. Andy flew home with Max and then flew straight back to Paris to be with Karen and Jacob.
Karen is always fundraising to help others. This year she has arranged for her house to be a drop off point for essentials for refugees and took care of all the arranging and collections for that. Only 3 days before they went to Paris Karen hosted a children's christmas party to raise money to save Northop Hall playgroup. She organised raffle prizes, a disco, crafts, refreshments and even arranged for santa to visit and made sure every child had a present from him.
Let's show this family some generosity back and raise some funds to help pay for their extra flights to get Max home, hotel expenses or anything that their insurance may not cover and maybe even help them get back to Disney when Jacob is better - the boys deserve that!
