I've raised £40000 to rebuild Mossley Skatepark, Manchester

After over 12 years since the appearance of Mossley Skatepark, the now dated, rusty metal ramps are in need of dire replacement. Over the years, the community has grown stronger and more popular amongst skateboarders, BMXers and many other park users.
We are aiming to raise our first big milestone of £50,000 in order to be applicable for a grant for a further £50,000 in order to replace the entire outdated skatepark into a new, concrete alternative at a total cost estimated at over £100,000. This would not only benefit the skate community but encourage the local community to learn new forms of sport and exercise, which our area has a lack of suitable places for.
In 2012, we succeeded with a single jump ramp extension to the current park, at a bid of £5000 and we are very ambitious to expand to a much larger project. We are currently working closely with the local council groups; Friends of Mossley Park and Tameside.
In 2018/19, we have already managed to raise over £11,200 from varying sources, including local community bidding event 'Mossley Soup'. All money raised will go directly to the Friends of Mossley Park group account.
