I've raised £5000 to deliver a number of Triple P–Positive Parenting Program® seminars to support hundreds of parents in London.

CALL FOR A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ON PARENTING CLASSES
Being a parent is both a pleasure and a privilege, however parenting can be one of the most difficult jobs we have to learn and most of us do so whilst on the job. We learn from our parents which can be good, bad or indifferent. We know that most parents learn through trial and error and many parents feel disheartened, dis-empowered and unappreciated.
Therefore, Brilliant Parents feels it is important to celebrate the role of parents, starting with mothers, this Mothering Sunday. The role of mothers has changed considerably over the years and parents are now increasingly under pressure to get the work life balance right and deliver both at home and in the work place. In addition, young people can be exposed to social ills and peer pressure that can have an adverse effect to them and the wider society, without the over-arching support and guidance from parents.
Brilliant Parents wants to launch a national conversation about the importance of parenting and its direct relevance to society. We are holding a Mother’s Day event on Mothering Sunday, 11 March 2018 in North West London, in order to launch this ‘National Conversation’ and to raise funds to deliver Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® seminars. Keynote speaker is the Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons, Priest Vicar at Westminster Abbey and Chaplain to Her Majesty the Queen.
Mothering Sunday is the perfect opportunity to give all mums regardless of their age, a pat on the back and reinforce the message that most mums are doing the best they can with the knowledge and resources they have.
If, like us, you are pro-parenting and would like to attend this special event, taking place in Wembley, North West London, tickets are available from www.ticketsforalluse.co.uk. If you are not able to attend, we would welcome a donation to help us meet our target of £5,000 to deliver a number of Triple P – Positive Parenting Program® seminars to support hundreds of parents in and around London. Any additional funds will go towards the continued programme development of delivering six to nine week courses. We are looking for large or small donations to help Brilliant Parents continue to deliver this invaluable work of supporting parents.
