Story

Join Me on a Scenic Charity Ride Across Scotland: Supported by Widows Sons Solomon’s Guard Grand Chapter MRA (WSSG), at not for profit organisation.

I am excited to invite you to join me on a remarkable journey across the stunning landscapes of Scotland, as I ride to raise funds for small local community charities.

Supported by the WSSG, this adventure combines my love for riding with a noble cause, covering approximately 500 miles over three days, from Friday, 30th August to Sunday, 1st September 2024.

Our journey will commence in Edinburgh, with the first stop in Falkirk where I will be meeting fellow riders from WSSG.

The route includes stops at various iconic distilleries, concluding at the fantastic Port of Leith Distillery on Sunday.

This is not a race; instead, it’s a leisurely ride allowing us to appreciate the scenic beauty of Scotland and the rich heritage of its distilleries.

Event Highlights:

Dates: Friday, 30th August to Sunday, 1st September 2024

Starting Point: Edinburgh

Key Stops: Falkirk, Loch Lomond, Oban, Fort William, Inverness, Grantown on Spey, Ballater, Montrose, St Andrews

Ending Point: Port of Leith Distillery, Edinburgh.

- Falkirk Distillery

- Loch Lomond Distillery (Loch Lomond Group)

- Oban Distillery (Diageo)

- Ben Nevis Distillery (Fort William Ltd)

- Tomatin Whisky

- The Cairn Distillery (Gordon & MacPhail Whisky)

- Royal Lochnagar Distillery (Diageo)

- Arbikie Distillery - Arbikie Highland Estate

- Eden Mill St. Andrews

- The Port of Leith Distillery

It's heartwarming to see the generosity of Loch Lomond Group, who have already helped us so far with a donation.

If you know someone at these distilleries or others along the route, your help in connecting would be invaluable.

I've reached out via email, but I understand how busy these businesses are. Any additional information or missed distilleries on the route are welcome.

Please feel free to message me for more details.

Each distillery visit will be highlighted in our social media and video posts.

Supporting Charities: Include the Edinburgh Combat Project (who help younger kids get access to martials art). The Boys Brigade Sure & Steadfast Project, the Euan Macdonald Research Centre into MND and many other local community charities.

Get Involved: Follow my journey on social media, where I will be sharing updates and videos of our trip, showcasing the beauty and heritage right on our doorstep.

As a proud member of WSSG, I am honoured to have the support of the community and fellow riders on this trip. Together, we hope to make a significant impact and raise substantial funds for the selected charities.
