A major dam in Moulvibazar has broken recently as a result of excessive rain resulting in a huge flood on a very large scale affecting more than 300,000 people. Numerous horrific and tragic images and footages are being sent through. The whole district is almost under water with very few places unaffected.

Several deaths have been reported, thousands of families are now homeless with a huge shortage of clean water and food.

Those with some means have fled to higher land and those that are very poor remain stranded to suffer in water. Finding shelter on rooftops and trees.
