As many of you may know, our Dad, Mark, has been diagnosed with cancer. The treatment will consist of combined radiotherapy and chemotherapy at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh. Treatment will be 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The Western is 41 miles from our home town, Melrose. During this period, we will aim to travel the equivalent distance. This will be done by each of us running/cycling/rowing/walking 13.7 miles a day, with a different guest individual joining us each day to travel the remaining 13.7 miles. Between us we will complete 1,230 miles over the 6 weeks. We know this will be a challenge but we would like to raise money for a cause very close to us. As we lost our Mum to cancer in 2010, we want to take this opportunity to raise money for those who helped us in the past and for those who will help us now. We are looking for guest participants to join us each day during our challenge. We will begin our challenge on Monday 6th July when Dad starts his treatment and this will last for 6 weeks.
