The Moving on Project Portsmouth was founded in March 2017 . It is run soley by volunteers who understand the stress moving into a new property after being in temporary / supported accomodation / homeless can cause . We work with many service providers to ensure clients can move into accomodation with the basic items of furniture FREE of charge ! We were awarded charity status in September 2019 and have outgrown our present premises and need more space to be able to continue . We have been given the much needed extra space and the permission to make it suitable for our needs - there are a few changes we need to make ourselves financially and are asking for your help with this . Mopp supports many communities and these changes will help us to reach more vunerable that need our help !!! . PLEASE DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN AFFORD TO HELP MOPP ! . We need a large wall built to protect us from the elements , we need electric lights and plug sockets installed , a plumber is needed to relocate a few pipes and we need a large metal gate to ensure our items against theft and added security ! .We have the backing of a few Housing Associations but need to fill the shortfall of the money needed for this much needed expansion .
