Myself, Callum Newton, Thomas Charters & Liam Kirkbride will be doing the Rob Burrow Leeds marathon on the 11th of May. What an unbelievable event to be a part of, we are all really looking forward to the occasion. Our goal is to raise £2000 split between two different organisations, the first one being Maryport Rescue/Lifeboat. We picked this charity because having this service available living in a coastal town is extremely valuable & important, with us being 4 born and bred Maryport lads we felt this is a great charity that the whole town would hopefully get behind and support. Our other charity choice is Andy’sManClub, men’s mental health is a topic close to all 4 of our hearts, speaking out / having the right people around you / continuously repeating good habits, things do get better. ANDYSMANCLUB are a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. We want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation. #ITSOKAYTOTALK.
