I've raised £500 to help fund additional resources for our link school in Uganda (Namunsi Primary). Anything would help; windows, music resources or goal posts!

Story

Year 4 at Mount Pleasant Primary School have been writing letters to Uganda! We have linked up with Namunsi Primary School, near Mbale and have decided we would like to help them get some new things for their school. We are lucky enough to have received a grant for new windows from the Welsh Government, so would like to help their school with something similar. The children have decided to raise money to get them some additional resources!

In a letter to Mr Prewett, the Headteacher says that their ultimate goal would be to fund a solar panel but initially, they lack music resources, goal posts for the field and sports wear. We have said we will try and raise some money to support them towards some of this!

In order to raise funds, we have set ourselves a challenge! Mbale is 6495 miles away, so we have decided to walk that distance! We worked out there are about 2000 steps in a mile, so will be wearing smart watches to walk 13 million steps! We‘ve got 6 watches for the children to wear in school time and the staff might help out too!

Wish us luck! If you’d like to donate below then the children would be really grateful!
