Mowbray Rangers lions fc under 13’s have been invited to participate in a international tournament over the sea in Lille,France. This wonderful opportunity has been offered as a exchange that has been ongoing within the club for the past 10 years. This once in a lifetime opportunity would offer the lads a cultural,educational physical experience not to be missed. The team would be staying at our French counterparts houses for the full Easter weekend with the tournament taking place on the Saturday and Sunday of which the lions will be hoping to retain their title which they won on home turf last June.

Now here’s the thing we want to make our lads earn the right to play in this tournament....taking inspiration from the famous Tour de France we want our boys to cycle the distance to Lille(crazy I know) but basically on 2 exercise bikes set up at our home ground we want the boys to take it in turns to cycle the 290 miles to Lille.....this has been worked out that over the 2 bikes this will take around 10 hours....so there’s A LOT of pedalling involved! They are very keen to earn the right to play abroad so on the 24th February we will be in our club music blasting and legs burning attempting the 290 miles!!
