Story

March this year I took my Border Collie, Max, to get his annual vaccinations. While in the surgery he suddenly collapsed and started having a seizure. Vets told us this is more than likely a 'one off' as he's such a nervous dog his brain must have become over stimulated. Saturday 22nd July at about 4am we all woke to Max having another seizure. We thought this must have been because it had been thundering and he hates it. At 8am, only 4 hours later he had another seizure. No loud bangs so we couldn't work out why. We called the vet and made an emergency appointment for that day. She took bloods and sent him home to wait for the results. An hour after getting home he had another one on the bed and wet himself just before falling off the bed as we didn't get there in time to keep him safe. Another 4 hours later he had another in the garden in my dad's arms. He was rushed back to the vets as an emergency case and put on a drip overnight. This drip seemed to help him but made him very wobbly and drowsy. He's now on Epiphen which is an epilepsy tablet which helps but doesn't explain why he's suddenly developed this condition. We need to raise at least £1000 to send him to Bristol for an MRI scan to find out why and hopefully be able to fix whatever is making him fit so much. We can cover some but unfortunately we need a little bit of extra help to cover the rest. We're looking at £2000 just for the MRI and extra on top for the consultation and more on top of that for any extra additional treatment he may need. Right now though we're just focusing on getting him in to have the MRI. It breaks my heart seeing him like this. Please help my boy. He's so innocent, loving and so so nervous and doesn't deserve this. Thank you! 😢
