Croydon Police want to help an elderly couple, Mr and Mrs Gibbs, who were victims of burglary where their only form of transport, a 29 year old Austin Metro in Mint condition was stolen.

Both victims suffer from serious medical conditions and relied on the car to get to and from hospital appointments. The vehicle was written off and the insurance money given the age of the vehicle was not sufficient to purchase a replacement, which has meant the couple have had to use these funds to find alternative transport to get to hospital.

DC Cooper from Croydon CID is running a collection amongst Croydon Police to see what can be done to help this couple as we are running up to Christmas especially as the weather has plummeted to freezing temperatures.

I have created this crowd funding page to help raise further funds in order to show the victims of this despicable crime that the community care enough to rally together and try and help increase funds to buy the couple a replacement car.
