Story
As my friends know, last year l had a hip replacement, followed by revision surgery 5 weeks later.
As a result of this, l was on ESA for a while before, and six months after.
When l was passed as fit for work in February this year, and went onto Jobseekers Allowance, l lost £120 a month in benefits. Now, almost six months later, l am in dire financial straits because of this. l'm looking for a job, but it's taking time.
l love my house, but l only get just over half my rent in housing benefit. That means l have to pay almost all my benefits out in rent. l had been
using my savings to top the shortfall up, but they ran out early this year.
This has resulted in me owing money for utility bills, etc.
We've (me, Bertie and Missy) been here two years, have lovely neighbours and want to stay here. This time next year it won't be a problem, because the crazy thing is that l have a substantial amount of money owed to me, but it's a claim that's been ongoing for a while, and when that's settled (which should hopefully be in the next six months) l'll be solvent again.
lf l moved l might not be able to keep Bertie and Missy, and for me, that isn't even an option.
Besides that l have another fund which l can't touch until September next year. As you'll appreciate, it's extremely frustrating knowing that l have money due to me, but l can't access it yet.
lf anyone can spare a few quid to help me out, that would be very much appreciated. lf need be, l can pay it back when l'm sorted, but l can't give a specific date on that just now.
Thank you for reading, and if you can help at all, even in a small way, thanks again x
