We are raising money to buy a memorial bench in loving memory of Mrs Diane Evans, (Mrs E), House Matron to the Lyndoch between 1993-2011. Di sadly passed away unexpectedly on 11th September 2024.

Mrs E was loved and respected by all the boys, her treasures, by parents and staff whom she worked with during her time at Wellington College.

The bench will go on South Front at Wellington College, next to the memorial bench for her dear friend and colleague, Mandy Hopkins Busby. We, Di's family, hope this will be a place people can go to remember Di and all she did for the boys of the Lynedoch and the College.

We hope to raise £2,000 for a bespoke bench; any remaining funds will be donated to the Alpha-1 UK Support Group. Di had both faulty genes, an inherited genetic condition, for Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency so had the full version, for which there is no cure.
