Story

Below is our short story and update about "Mr Sniff" and a few photos and videos of his progress.

It was on the 14th August 2021, during a wild hail storm, high up in the remote mountains of Southern Georgia, near an area called Nijgori, only a few kilometres away from the Armenia and Turkey border, where a young homeless dog came running over to us and sniffed at our legs, he had clearly not eaten for weeks and was extremely weak and thin, he also walked with a bad limp, as at some point in the past he had been hit by a car which had badly broken his back leg, he was very wet and cold, as he lived amongst some trees on the edge of the mountain, but this brave little doggie still wagged his tail and looked so excited to have found us, we gave him lots of food and water.

This area was extremely remote, the nearest mountain village was several hours away, so it was clear that someone had once owned this young man, but then decided they no longer wanted him, so had drove to this remote location and left him there to die, the question was what to do next...

...so we decided to call him 'MR SNIFF' and rescued him from the mountains, he joined us on our adventure to West Georgia, to the city of Batumi. It was in Batumi where we took him for an X-ray at the local hospital, unfortunately his leg had been badly broken some time ago, so an operation would have only shorted his leg, therefore to no benefit, plus this little fella has already been through enough, and he is in no pain, he just has a bit of a limp, which over time will improve once he's gained some weight and muscle mass.

Mr Sniff received a full examination at the local vet, where they ran many tests, he's also started with his vaccinations including rabies vaccine, so not long before he has his very own passport!

After all these health checks, he spent the rest of the day relaxing in a doggie beauty parlour.

Mr Sniff is such a lovely friendly dog, he just wants to love you,

and of course SNIFF !

SO PLEASE HELP US - Watch the film below to see his progress

NOTE: We will personally be covering all his vet bills and any costs required to get him ready to fly to the UK - any surplus funding will be donated to D.O.G (Dog Organisation Georgia) D.O.G Website - click here

CAN YOU HELP AGAIN PLEASE………

Mr Sniff was relieved to have been found. I cooked him the last of our chicken on the camp stove which took a while, but all the time Mr Sniff sat patiently waiting with his head on my lap, he didn’t snatch the food, he even waited whilst I let the chicken cool down, it was heart breaking, and we couldn’t leave him there to die, so we took him with us, Mr Sniff now lives and travels with us full time here in Georgia, until he is ready for his new home in the UK.

We are asking for help to raise £2000 to pay for his transportation to get him to the UK where he will be found his forever home and will never be alone or starving again.

We will personally be covering all his vet bills and any costs required to get him ready to fly to the UK.

I know the worlds a crazy place at the moment, but every donation, no matter how small, will help Mr Sniff get to his happy home.

We appreciate your support once again.

Mr Sniff says "Woof Woof" - Thank you .

Thank you to everyone who has helped us fundraise over the past couple of years.

Just a recap, we left the Nightingale Centre in Manchester England on the 9th July 2018 on our quest to bicycle the world for our charity Prevent Breast Cancer. We made it to Thailand then COVID hit and stopped us from travelling and we were locked down in Thailand. Whilst there you helped us raise money for the “Rebuild of Somdech’s Longtail Boat” and you helped feed many families with out food on Phi Phi Island. Thank you we couldn’t of done it without all your support and thank you for your on going support to Prevent Breast Cancer.
