Story

Mansfield Rugby Club is a strictly amateur community club, and for many of us, it is a place that is close to our heart. As a result of the pandemic, we have been closed since March with no income from our usual activities. However, costs in maintaining the clubhouse and grounds do not stop. We firmly believe that people are happy to help those who are prepared to help themselves. Which is why we have launched a club-wide fundraising campaign to ensure our short to medium term future comprising of a series of physical challenges. It’s a real club effort with members involved from every team across our seniors and juniors, men’s and women’s as well as non-playing administrators.

We are staging a series of challenges and events called the Mansfield Rugby Club 30 Day Challenge, which runs from the 1st to 30th July. The range of events are shown below, and you can see that there is a wide variety of activities that will test us all in terms of strength, stamina, resolve and in some cases, skill. You will be able to keep up with the progress of all the challenges on our club Facebook, Twitter and Instagram posts.

This is the list of challenges being undertaken by club members over the 30 days:

Pete Steffen - 1000km bike ride in 30 days
