Story

Hi everyone. Myself and Dave Birch are two of the co founders of the Blue Light Cycling Club. We are a not for profit club set up to support emergency workers and armed forces personnel improve their physical and mental wellbeing, using a bike. We have five charities that we care about, Care of Police Survivors, Help4Heroes, NHS Charities Together, The Firefighters Charity and The Coastguard Association. In a moment of weakness we thought we'd ride six times up and down Mt. Ventoux to raise funds for these worthy causes. As there are six ascents we've added Pancreatic Cancer UK as a sixth charity. All monies raised will be split equally between these groups.

In total we'll be climbing for over 65 miles, totalling 8800 metres in an overall ride that will be approx. 165 miles. To complete the challenge we have a 24 hour window. if we succeed we will join a group of around 400 people who have undertaken and completed this challenge.

It's fair to say that this will be a huge challenge for both of us. But we feel passionately about these causes and wanted to do an event that was worthy of your support and amazing donations.

Over the following weeks we'll add updates as to how well we're getting on!
