Story

We have been raising money for charities for over 27 years and have raised over £110,000 for over 50 charities in that time.

The main focus of our fundraising is a charity week which is held in each of our nurseries in May each year. The theme of this year's charity week (w/c 14th May 2018) is 'Character Week'!

We have asked our children and team members to come to nursery dressed as their favourite story book or film character during the week and we'll also be learning about our characters by reading some lovely books!

We're all really looking forward to it and there will be lots of fantastic activities being carried out at nursery, all with a focus on reading and characters.

This year we plan to share all monies raised equally between 3 charities:

- The Good Life Orphanage, a charity we have supported since they opened in 2008 and have since built a great relationship with. They are a family-run, Kenya based, UK founded charity who care for over 50 orphaned children;

- Baby Basics Bury & Bolton, a charity which aims to help mums, babies and professionals by providing Moses basket starter packs to vulnerable women in our local community; and

- Bury Cancer Support Centre, a local charity offering support to cancer sufferers and their loved ones from their premises on Bolton Road in Bury.

We hope that this year will be our most successful charity week yet! Last year we raised over £7,500 and it would be brilliant to beat that this year. Most of the money raised is brought directly into nursery but we wanted to provide this additional means of contributing online. The target here will be combined with the money raised in the nurseries.
