Story

St. Luke's Parish Church, Mullaglass is a small rural Church of Ireland, in South Armagh.

As a 191 year old building, it was never designed to have low level access, and we'd like to change that.

The grand plan is to convert our current vestry room into a new low level ramped porch, which would provide full access to our building for wheelchair users and those who may struggle with stairs.

As a Grade BII listed building, the work must be undertaken to a very high standard, and as a result our estimated cost could be as high as £12,000.

We've already drawn up plans for the ramp, now we need to fundraise as we explore options on how to proceed.

Please support us as members of the congregation complete a 5k-10k Sponsored Walk/Run (Depending on their ability) The walk will take place on Saturday 20th April 2024, in Gosford Forest Park.

Thanks to everyone who donated, either online or in-person. We completed our walks or runs on Saturday, and thankfully we were gifted with the best weather this year! Your support is so appreciated. As a small church, without this help, we would not be able to proceed with our wheelchair access plans, this money raised gives us the boost we need as we go into the next phase; get specs drawn up and the work priced.
