Story
Sen Talk CIC and A2nd Voice, both voluntary organisations have come together to offer Autistic and ADHD children play and development opportunities every single Wednesday.
We currently receive no funding to facilitate these sessions and rely solely on the volunteers time and contributions. These sessions are very important to the community and provide young children with the chance to play in a suitable environment for their needs, develop relationships and learn new skills. These sessions are also vital to parents and carers as Sen Talk CIC, provides pastoral and professional SEND information and advice.
What we really need?
We are in desperate need of some new play equipment for our young attendees as our existing sensory equipment is now run its course.

6 years agoRecently we have discovered that the Local Authority plan to close the only existing Special Educational Needs nursery setting in as little as 6 weeks and instead opting to finance a few special educational needs nanny's and childminders. This means that under 5's will now not get that ' specialist nursery' experience and will not be prepared for their school setting, potentially holding them back further. It is because of cuts to vital services and provisions that Sen Talk formed as an Independent Community Organisation.
